Depressing Saturday

I thought Saturday would be a busy day for me, as I have mountains of assignments waiting for me. But instead, i chose to procrastinate by sitting around idlely, fidgeting my fingers trying to think of something fun to pass my time. Holiday has just begun, and already I am feeling unoccupied with my time. I am in a shitty mood for most of the day (blame it on my hormones!!)

Saturday...
The day parks are occupied
Malls are crowded
Streets filled with people
But do any of this fill the emptiness in my heart?

Saturday...
The day in the week where the sky are truly appreciated
Where millions of eyes will stare at the starry sky
When night invades Earth
Each with their lovers firmly locked in their arms

Saturday...
I can't understand you
You are no more different than the other days
Being also 24 hours in length
But why, why does it feel like eternity?

Saturday...
Is it possible for me to enjoy you
Just like everyone else?
